# TallyNexa

> TallyNexa is a finance layer for Indian businesses that keep their books in TallyPrime or Tally ERP 9. A Windows connector mirrors the books to the cloud, and TallyNexa turns them into a 13-week cash forecast, receivables and payables ageing, GST and TDS checks, stock alerts, and plain-English answers from Nexa AI — which verifies every figure against the books before it answers. It works on any phone or browser. It is an independent product, not affiliated with Tally Solutions.

Key facts:

- Works with: TallyPrime and Tally ERP 9, through Tally's own local XML gateway. No TDL file is installed; the Tally data file is never edited by TallyNexa.
- Read-only by default. Voucher write-back is opt-in: a draft must balance and be approved, then the connector posts it through Tally's import.
- Nexa AI never writes database queries. It picks from a fixed catalogue of reports, answers from their results, and every figure is labelled read, derived, or unsupported (flagged).
- MCP: a read-only endpoint with 23 tools for ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or any MCP client, scoped to the companies the signed-in user can see.
- Data is hosted in India, encrypted in transit and at rest, separated per business.
